On 11 January, CHEC received the letter of award from the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe, confirming that CHEC had won the tender for the ground-to-air communication system project in Zimbabwe, funded by the government's own funds.
The project consists in the procurement, installation and training of equipment for the Zimbabwean ground-to-air communication system. The main equipment includes interphone systems, VHF systems, voice recorders, satellite communication systems, etc.
The project is CHEC’s first breakthrough in the Zimbabwean market. In the past year, CHEC Zimbabwe Office has experienced a series of unfavourable factors, but with the strong support of the company, the management team of the South African Regional Company has overcome all difficulties, and finally succeeded in making a breakthrough in the Zimbabwean market. The successful winning of the tender for the project lays a firm foundation for CHEC to further participate in the infrastructural construction of Zimbabwe, and also makes a good beginning for the South African Regional Company's marketing work in 2021.
